Round #2 of Design Team

Hi All
Here is Round #2 of our TALENTED Design Team!

I am from High Level, AB and have lived here for 16 years. It is where I met my husband and where I have had my own business for 10 years.  I have family/friends in Edmonton and travel there for work and crafting
practically on a monthly basis. I have been crafting since March of 2012 and I love all types for crafting. I do layouts, cards, mixed media projects and altered art - I love experimenting with new techniques/products.  I have been published in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine twice, as well as Just Steampunk magazine out of the US.  When I first started crafting I just used the small spare bedroom we had been using as a store room, but I took to it so well and I am such a craft hoarder, my husband built me a 440 square foot crafting space in our
basement - I have enough room I can have mini-crops with my friends.  I have started my own blog to show off my crafty projects and I have gotten into swapping on several craft sites. I just love making things
for people and seeing the joy on their faces when they get something that has been made especially for them! My niece thinks scrapbooking is my best hobby ever - and I totally agree with her!

My name is Crystal and I've lived in St. Albert for the past 11 years, having grown up in Sherwood Park. I've always been artsy and crafty, making my own cards and boardgames when I was young, but got really addicted in 2010 when I got my Cricut machine and first stamps. I mainly make cards, but have been known to dabble in other areas of paper crafting on occasion. During the day I work in the Service Department of a busy luxury car dealership. To de-stress I craft, play video games, and boardgames. I've been with my husband for 9 years and we are both huge dorks, which you will see shine through in the stories on my blog.

See you tomorrow for Guest Designers, myself, and Dawn's Bio.
Thanks for stopping by

Round #1 of the NEW Design Team!

Hello everyone; its Courteney here!  I’ll be posting a lot more now for my position as the Design Team Coordinator.  I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgivings. I have been really busy this last week going through design team applications and I have to say you really did NOT make this easy on me. Everyone who applied was seriously so talented. Thank you so much for taking your time to apply we truly appreciate it. We could only pick a small team this time and I know you will not be disappointed. So please help me in welcoming these very creative, very talent ladies! For the next few days will be introducing Inked Stamper Design Team.  (In no particular order, we love them all!)

With a main focus on mixed media, I love using materials in ways they may not have been originally intended.  Sort of like a craft scientist, I am often creating and designing in some unconventional mind space, experimenting with materials and mediums, mixing, deconstructing and altering to create multifaceted projects.  Friends and family, particularly my little muse, Alex are my greatest inspirations. everythingshetouches originated from a desire to share with others some of the things that I enjoy: paper crafts (layouts, tags, cards), sketching, journaling, painting, making jewelry and photography. Born in Montréal, Québec, I now live in Edmonton, Alberta.

My name is Kaitlin, but I sometimes go by Kate and I have lived in St. Albert for twenty two years. For as long as I remember, I've always been creative and surrounded by art. In the last few years I dove into papercrafts and have loved every minute of it. My parents (who I'm forever in debt to for letting me transform their basement into a creative studio a couple years ago) and boyfriend, Terry, have given me unwavering support in all my crazy creative pursuits. Blogging came next and fit in naturally between work and school. I'm constantly trying new things and finding new projects to work on and can't wait to see what I create with the Inked Stamper Design Team.

See you back tomorrow with Round 2! We have a total of 4 Designers, '2 Guest Designers, plus myself and Dawn.

NEW Copics Class

  • Copic’s: Blending Basics (1 Card + 2 Tags)
  •       Instructor Jessie
  •   Date: Oct 28, 7pm-9pm
  •      Fee: $20 (bringing own Copics)  $50 Includes 5 Copics*
  •      (register by Oct 14 to ensure Copics Set please)

I’m super excited to announce another NEW DESIGNER to The Inked Stamper Team: Jessie Lybyk! Jessie has been wowing me for years with her Copics skill and I’m super happy that she said YES to teach!! Her classes will be a series; each month she will focus on another set of colors so you will be able to confidently blend with skill to color all of your gorgeous stamped images with ease.  Her first class is going to focus on Skin and Hair.  We will price her classes up with 2 prices; 1) if you own your own Copics already, 2) Will include the price of the Copics we will be using in the class.  This first class will be 5 markers (skin and hair); subsequent will be 2-3 markers as you will now have a base for skin and hair to bring the following months.

Please come and join us for this fun and cute Copic Class. These alcohol markers are absolutely wonderful for their blending abilities. We will be doing basic blending focusing on the skin. This class is perfect for those who are just beginning with Copics and for those who plain and simply just love Copics. We will complete 1 card and 2 tags. We will also be using Prima papers, stamps from Julie Nutting and La-La Land Crafts, and Prima's Color Bloom Mists.
In this class we will be using the following Copic Markers: E0000, E000, E01, E35, E37.
Supply List: regular tool kit, craft mat, Vintage Photo Distress Ink: if you already have a stash of Copics and you own some greys they would be helpful (not necessary as you will have access to mine)
*4 Ciao and 1 Sketch: I will get Ciao when ever possible as they are more cost efficient to keep price of class lower,  with the same great quality; they just hold less ink, but are refillable.
