Elegant Coaster Gift Set

Hi Everyone
Like I said on yesterdays post, I've been busy making Christmas Crafts for up coming classes and sales.  And today I thought I'd post one of them!  I'm soo happy with how these coasters turned out! Unfortunately, picture taking is not my strong suite...think I'm going to ask for a photo box for Christmas! They look so much better in real life!
Anyhoo...I love these coasters, and I think they will make an amazing Christmas present, don't you?  I'm going to have these for sale at my table at the Good Shepherd Church  Bazaar in Castledown, Edmonton, November 13, so you can come on over there to purchase a set; I'm still working on prices, but I'm thinking $12.50/set of 4 including tag and ribbon.  I've got a couple other things up my sleeve for the table as well!  I may offer this up as a Giftables Class, stay tuned for details.
I love to hear from YOU, please leave a comment and let me know what you would like to see on my blog!

Photo Purse: UDI Color Challenge

Hi Everyone
Today's color pallet is almost all neutrals except for Cajun Craze, good thing I love Cajun Craze! Now my little confession, when I SU! first brought this color out, I thought it was U.G.L.Y.! But I now LOVE it, thanks to the new Color Coach which showed me how to pair this color up with some of my favorites to make gorgeous pallets!  If you have not invested in the Color Coach, I highly recommend it!
Anyhoo..today's project is a cute little purse, that once you open it, turns into a little photo album.  This is the first one I've made and I kept it pretty simple inside, but you could do so much more with it!  You could cut up DSP and pictures into triangles to decorate it all on the inside.  This would make a great little present!

It's official: I am a Hockey Mom! UDI 6

Hi Everyone
Well it is official; I am a Hockey Mom!  I registered the boys in hockey Wednesday and bought all the equipment that night and they had their first week end of hockey on Sat/Sun! Talk about throwing them in the deep end; it was their first time on skates as well! LOL! I must say I am a proud Momma though!  Bless my twins hearts, they fell down 100 time, and got up 101 with a smile on their faces every single time! Not once did they get discouraged or upset that they couldn't do it!  They love every min on the ice, even though the spend most of the time on their bum..or knees..or back! LOL!
Any hoo...so for today's UDI Color Challenge, I decided to do a scrapbook page.  Now I have to admit, with some of these challenges I've been having some difficulty, some of the colors have just taken me out of my comfort zone; and when I looked at today's colors, my first reaction was "oh no!"  So I decide to do a scrapbook page and threw in a sheet of DSP from the Newsprint collection that just happens to be neutral so it follows the rules.  I found this a lot easier for me!  Every time I see Rose Red, I struggle..sorry, it is just SO NOT me!  But I found a way to work it into my layout and I am very happy with how it turned out.  I've actually combine 2 Challenges on this LO; I used the sketch from Twisted Sketches #70 with the twist being hole.  So for my hole, I punched in 3 jumbo eyelets.

Do over!

Hi Everyone
OK, do you ever wish you had a "Do Over", well I did on THIS card!  I liked the idea of it, but was just not crazy happy with how it turned out.  It needed tweaking...so I tweaked and came up with this!  I change the mat sizing, which I am very please with! Looks more balanced.  Then I change the color of the bird from Daffodil to Cherry Cobbler; stamped the "hi" closer together and ran the base through the Big Shot with the Embossing Folder Finial Press 115963.  Oh and I switch the ribbon to the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding 120992 to hid my inky finger print! LOL! Opps!  Just remember EVERYTHING can be fixed!
I am much happier with this card, I think I will make it into some swaps today.  Friday I fly out to Vancouver to drive down to Portland for the SU! Regional.  I can't wait! I'm going with Angela Mckay  the Northshore Stamper and 2 of her down line.   Ang  and I missed convention this year; so we need to get in our SU! fix!  So Road Trip it is!  I have to fly to start my road trip...but that's ok! It still counts!

Double Mount Punch Technique

Hi Everyone
Today's card is for my upcoming Technique Club this Sunday...there are few things I may tweak on it by then...like the HI needs to be stamped closer together, the bird needs to be Cherry Cobbler, and I may change the size of the mattes, I think my white is too big! But this is the gist of the card.  The technique they will be learning is how to double mount the fantastic new punch in the Holiday Mini,XL Decorative Label 120907.  My awesome friend Ang, the Northshore Stamper has made a great video on this technique, so you can go check it out HERE!  My Club Girls will be watching this at class on Sunday!  She did a great job!
I still have some spots open in this club, if you live in the St.Albert area, and would like to join, let me know.  We meet every 3rd Sunday 1:30-3pm.
Don't forget that October 18 is the last day to Sign up to become a Demonstrator and receive the awesome Craft Tote for FREE! $49.95 value!  If you sign up with me to become part of my Inked Stamper's Group, you will also receive any or all of my club and class planners for FREE!!!  I'd love to have you on my team!  You can sign up on my Web site 24/7 and the password is dawnpritchard, click on Start your Own Business.  Contact me with ANY questions you may have, and don't forget you can customize the kit to your liking!

Riddle Me This??

What do you get when you add 7 Mommies + 1 Grandma + 6 Little Girls + 5 little boys thrown in??  FUN!!  Monday was my Mommy and Me Class and being a Momma of twin boys, it was so much fun having a GIRLY Class!!  The girls all got to pick their own headbands and fabric to make their cute flowers!  I loved seeing all their personalities pop out in making their choices! So cute!  I can not believe I forgot to take pictures of the flowers the girls made with the Candy Cane Lane Fabric...arg! Oh well, you'll have to take my word for it, they were SO cute!  I found so turquoise vinyl that matched it perfectly, so the lollipop flowers looked AMAZING!  My next Mommy and ME will be for the boys as well, we can't always leave them out now, can we??
I've had a request from a Mommy at the class to put on a grown up flower class, so keep your eyes open for that to be posted soon!
Thank you so much to the Mommies(Grandma's) who came and shared their little girls with me! I loved every minute of that class!

30 Second Contempo Christmas Card

Hi Everyone
Well today's projects literally is a 30 second card! I kid you not!  The gorgeous card base is from the Simply Sent Elegant Engravings Set; it is pre-made!!  It is lovely and thick paper similar to out Water color paper; and the gold is just gorgeous, it's a metallic copper foil. So pretty!  So I took my favorite Christmas set at the moment; Contempo Christmas and just inked up the tree with markers, and stamped it!  Added a few rhinestone blings and a knot of ribbon! DONE!  So don't tell me you don't have time  for cards!  You get 8 cards in the pack; 4 or 2 designs.  I'll try to do the other one tomorrow, but won't promise.  Its Thanksgiving Long week end here in Canada, and I promised to take the twins to the Corn Maze, then I'm hosting my family Thanksgiving Sunday..so I may not get a post up till Monday.  I'll try!  As it really is only 30 seconds! LOL!

Hi  Everyone
OK, I am feeling the need to redeem myself...since I have been sick, I've kinda lost my MOJO and I feel the need to prove to myself, and YOU, that I am good at crafting!  So luckily for me, today is Twisted Sketches #70, with the twist being "pin"; scrapbooking, my FAV!  I really spent a lot of time putting this LO together, and I am very please with the results. There are a lot of little details on here if you look closely, all the buttons are threaded with Linen Thread. I think it's the small details that make the difference.  The little leaves at the top were cut out with the Leaves #2 Die from Cajun Craze and More Mustard card stock; I then took my bone folder and grooved in the leave veins, then I sponged Cajun Craze to add some depth.  Then I curled them with my bone folder, and pushed through some pearl ended pins. It's hard to see the details in the picture, sorry.

How about my flower?? Do you like it! You guys know how much I love making my own flowers...so in my true style, I made this one too!  With my favorite Die, Circle #2!  I came across this great tutorial on the web for making sunflowers but I didnt' have all the supplies that they used, so I worked with what I had and made this flower instead.  I thought you would like a tutorial on it.

Step 1: Cut out your Polyester fabric with your Big Shot and Circle #2 Die.  You will need 4 large, 3 Medium, 3 Small, 2  XS.

Step #2. Cut into your circles, to make petals. Just straight cuts all the way around the circles.

Step #3. Take a candle; I used a tea light; and singe the end of each petal.  Don't stick it in the flame, just very close, and it is quick, so be careful not to set it on fire. After all the circles are done; stagger them on top of each other.  I used my Crop a Dile and punch a hole and added a brad.

Twisted Cards 27: Love

Hi Everyone
Well first off I want to apologize to Anam for handing in my card so late today for Twisted Sketches #27...which happens to be my last card for the DT of Twisted Sketches!  I'm sad to say good-bye, but I am pressed for time, so it was time!  I'll still be staying on for the DT Twisted Sketches Scrapbook though.
So on to today's card; today's Twist is LOVE; I think my greeting "welcome Christmas into your heart" sums that up pretty well!  This was literally a 5 min card today...as I was late, I needed to make something crazy quick!  I do like how it turned out though, clean and simple.  Just wish I snailed the ribbon down a bit before I took the picture! Opps!  If click on the picture to make it larger, you'll notice there is faux stiching detail around the Whisper White; this card base is pre-made from the Hostess Level 3 kit!  Did you notice the glitter detail as well?? This is the new Glass Glitter from the Holiday Mini; wow! I LOVE this stuff!!!
